Collins Kelly is a native of that "other ski town", Vail, Colorado. She joined Aspen Public Radio as the Membership Director in November 2011. Collins attended Williams College and earned her undergraduate degree in English and Political Science with a concentration in Environmental Studies. After graduation, she took her interest in community development and land use to the National Wildlife Federation in Boulder, Colorado; and then to The Cecil Group, an urban planning and design firm in Boston, Massachusetts. Collins decided to pursue a graduate degree in secondary education at Stanford University. After finishing her degree, she followed her heart back to Colorado and taught middle school Humanities at Vail Mountain School and coached the Nordic team for Ski and Snowboard Club Vail for four years. Following her wedding, she joined her husband, Patrick, in Aspen, and has proudly embraced her new home. Collins enjoys all that the mountains have to offer, particularly hiking, biking, telemark and Nordic skiing. Other interests include photography, cooking, travel, current events, and great reads.
