Mike Murray is a past chair of Aspen Public Radio, a position he has held in June 2008. Prior to that, Mike was the co-chair from 2007-08 and has served on the board since early 2007. He is Director Emeritus of McKinsey & Company and continues to serve them in a professional capacity on a selective basis.
He is currently between terms as a member of the Board of Trustees of Boston College, and chairs its Finance and Audit Committees. He is a member of the Board of Trustees of The Aspen Music Festival and School, where he chairs the Investment Committee, and sits on the Finance and Audit Committees, the Strategic Planning Committee and the Executive Committee. He is a member of the Investment Committee and the Budget and Operations Committee of the Archdiocese of Chicago Finance Council; a Life Trustee of The Ravinia Festival and a member of the Board's Nominating Committee; a member of the Advisory Committee of Evanston Capital Management; and a member of the Board of Directors of Textura and GEN3 Partners.
Mike received a B.S. in physics and an M.A. in mathematics from Boston College and an M.B.A. from Wharton Graduate School. Prior to joining McKinsey, he worked with the David Taylor Model Basin, a research laboratory of the United States Navy, Bureau of Ships. He lives in Snowmass Village and Chicago.
