Todd Hartley was raised in Connecticut but moved to Aspen in 1992 after graduating from Colorado College in Colorado Springs. After four years as a Snowmass ski instructor and waiter/bartender, Todd started to pursue his media career in earnest. He began as a proofreader at The Aspen Times. In six years there, he served as a sports reporter, sports columnist and production manager.
After that, Todd spent a few years working in marketing and PR before moving back to media as a writer and editor for the children's health website KidsHealth.org and as an award-winning humor columnist for the Aspen Times. In addition to his hundreds of columns and medical articles, Todd's writing credits include feature stories for American Way, American Cowboy, Aspen Sojourner, Aspen Magazine, Golf Getaways and numerous other print and online publications. A veteran standup comedian, performer and funk music radio DJ, Todd is excited to join the team at Aspen Public Radio as the host of Morning Edition.
