2014 Aspen Winternational Schedule

The 2014 Audi FIS Ski World Cup at the Nature Valley Aspen Winternational is this weekend.

The events take place on Aspen Mountain.

Here's an explanation and rundown from the official site:

The world’s fastest women skiers will once again take Aspen Mountain by storm over Thanksgiving weekend. Spectators near and far are invited to the base of Lift 1A on Aspen Mountain to enjoy prime viewing of the finish line from the grandstands. Live television coverage by NBC and NBC Sports will capture the excitement that embodies World Cup racing. The weekend includes the first Bud Light Hi-Fi Concert Series of the season. Both events are FREE and open to the public!

9 am – 3 pm    Free shuttles to the Aspen Winternational run every 15 minutes with stops at the intersection of Monarch & Dean Streets, Galena & Dean Streets and the venue entrance located at Monarch and Summit Streets.
10 am – 4 pm    Sponsor Village Open – Gondola Plaza
10 am     RACE START: Women’s Giant Slalom Run 1  - Strawpile
11:30 am    Taste of Winternational enjoy complimentary samples from the Ullrhof – Finish Area
11:30 am    Live Music, Prize Giveaways & Kids Race – Finish Area
1 pm    RACE START: Women’s Giant Slalom Final  – Strawpile
6 pm – 9 pm    Dine Around – Downtown Aspen Participating Restaurants
6:30 pm – 8 pm    Bud Light Hi-Fi Concert Series Featuring Reel Big Fish – Upper Gondola Plaza

TV BROADCAST SCHEDULE

Tune in to Aspen 82 for local live coverage of the first runs on both race days.
Saturday Giant Slalom Final will be broadcast in HD on NBCSN at 3 pm mountain time.
Sunday Slalom Final will be broadcast live in HD on NBC at 1 pm mountain time.
