Anderson Ranch digs into archives for print sale

The Anderson Ranch Arts center opens a sale of prints from its catalogue on Friday.

The archives of Anderson Ranch were combed through by Liz Ferrill, the artistic director of painting and printmaking at the center. She picked a bit less than two dozen prints going back to 1995. Artists like Kenny Scharf and Enrique Martinez Celaya are part of the collection.

They were made by visiting artists, faculty and staff. Liz says the styles of the pieces range from flashy and bright, to more minimalistic.

“I curated several out of there that I think are colorful, and there are also some for people that like a plain aesthetic, so a lot of black and white,” says Ferrill.

The prints were chosen out of the vast collection that the center has been collecting for decades.

The sale runs until mid-December.
