The Aspen Institute and iPhone Photography Awards announce ‘This America I Know’

The annual iPhone Photography Awards (IPP Awards)  is now accepting entries for consideration.

This year’s competition is rolling out a new category with The Aspen Institute. It’s called “This America I Know.” Judges are looking for entries that examine the reality of America today.

The IPP Awards began in 2007. It was the first photography competition specific to iPhone and iPad cameras. Now it’s the longest running competition of its kind and it’s open to participants worldwide.

Two winners for this category will be chosen and will receive a trip to this summer’s Aspen Ideas Festival. The prize package includes a full season festival pass and covers three nights of lodging in Aspen.

The deadline to apply is March 31. Submissions cannot be photoshopped. All winners will be announced in eight to 12 weeks online, and winning entries in all categories will be showcased at the festival. Entry fees vary based on the number of submissions per applicant.
