Building for hope: Beyond sustainability in design

Mar 28, 2018

An example of the type of work Brian Dunbar and CSU’s Institute for the Built Environment team creates. The goal is a place that provides social, natural, and economic benefit to the community of Cheyenne. Children, adults, butterflies and even dogs (there’s a doghouse with a green roof!) are nourished by the unique discovery village.Credit courtesy photo / CSU’s Institute for the Built Environment

Wednesday is the final “Aspen U” presentation from the Aspen Skiing Company this season.

The talk features Brian Dunbar, Executive Director of the Institute for the Built Environment at Colorado State University.

Alycin Bektesh caught up with him to talk about his work, which looks at regenerative design in built environments, with an eye for how users of the space will feel while inside.
