Carbondale to discuss vaping

Vaping360.com

On Tuesday, Carbondale’s Board of Trustees will discuss how the town might regulate electronic smoking devices.

According to Town Manager Jay Harrington, Carbondale’s trustees want to discuss "vaping," and if they can do anything to regulate it.

This could lead to the question of whether or not to increase the legal age to purchase tobacco and nicotine to 21, which would come right on the heels of Basalt’s decision to do so.

Harrington said, however, that is not the goal of Tuesday's discussion. "I think right now the primary focus of the board is to discuss vaping and the impacts on the kids."

At this point, Carbondale doesn’t have any tobacco or nicotine restrictions beyond state regulations.
