Crews suspend search for missing climber

www.rickcrandall.net

Authorities have suspended their search for climber David Cook after five days of ground and air searches in the Maroon Bells Wilderness Area.

The New Mexico resident has been missing since last Tuesday. He had planned to summit north and south peaks as well as Pyramid Peak.

The decision to suspend search operations was a joint one made by the Pitkin County Sheriff’s Office and rescue personnel. They made the choice after reviewing all current leads and information obtained by the public. If new information is presented, future search operations may begin again.
