The Spectrum Dance Festival kicks off tonight in Carbondale at the Thunder River Theatre Company.
“Damages: A brief introduction to the implicit hazards of parallel play,” choreographed by last year’s artist in residence, Patrick Mueller will headline the fourth year of the festival.
The rest of the weekend is a lineup of workshops and performances that range from hip-hop and newstyle dancing to aerial skills, where dancers twirl inside ribbons and cloths that hang from the ceiling. There are also tap and contemporary classes.
Denver-based Control Group Productions will perform twice on Saturday at the Thunder River Theatre Company.
The festival concludes on Sunday.
