The Snowmass Village Town Council will continue their discussion about a potential community building Monday evening.

Town council will discuss requirements for the use of Base Village’s Building 6, which is designated for community use.

Town manager Clint Kinney has condensed hours of previous discussion into a list of criteria for the building's use.  Stipulations include that no new taxes would be created, whoever operates the building offers a wide range of programming for the community and that findings from the Ziegler Reservoir fossil discovery are incorporated in some way.

Snowmass Village town council has previously discussed two options for Building 6. One, that the town itself operate the building. The second is for an outside organization to move into the space.

Council members, as well as the public, are split on the idea of public versus private ownership.
