Starting today, there are parking changes at the Eagle County Regional Airport. Free parking at the airport has been an attractive option for some flying out of the Roaring Fork Valley area. That goes away today for what the airport calls its "close-in" lots.
Long term parking is now $6 a day, with a lot in front of the terminal costing $8 a day. Eagle County says the fees will help pay for what it calls airport improvements, and maintaining the parking lots. There will still be free spots on the east side of the terminal.
