Garfield County prepares for lean times

  Garfield County is tightening its belt. With oil and gas revenues projected to drop significantly in 2017, the normally wealthy County is preparing for lean times.

New Garfield County Manager Kevin Batchelder says the first step is spending a lot less. This year’s budget is expected to be about $107 million dollars, compared to last year’s budget of about $130 million.  Aspen Public Radio’s Elise Thatcher talks with Kevin Batchelder.
