The Glenwood Springs City Council swore in its newest members last night.

Shelley Kaup won as the city’s at-large candidate in the April 4 election. Jonathan Godes was elected to represent Ward 5. Rick Voorhees ran unopposed and will represent Ward 2.

Once the new members were seated, Mike Gamba was unanimously reappointed as mayor by his colleagues. He will serve as mayor for the next two years; Katherine Trauger will serve as mayor pro-tem.

Before welcoming its newest members, the council also accepted the two new taxes on recreational marijuana both cultivated and sold in Glenwood. The issues easily passed with the city’s voters.
