Eighth St. in Glenwood Springs between Colorado and Grand Avenues will be closed every weekday night for the next two weeks for crews to put in new traffic signals.
According to Tracy Trulove of the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT), this means the Grand Ave. Bridge project is on the home stretch.
There is still some rock work to do on the bridge and other so-called “punch list items,” but CDOT expects to be finished by the end of June.
After the new signals are installed on the city hall side of Grand Avenue, crews will install signals on the other side of the street, next to the Colorado Mountain College building.
