Jeffreys needs bag of tricks to tackle housing shortage

Faced with the need for an additional 100 beds a year over the next decade, the Aspen Skiing Company hired a specific project manager just to work on solutions for housing employees.

“We are looking at this very seriously because if we are unable to hire and retain the employees we need to run our business, it makes it difficult for us to run our business,” said Philip Jeffreys.

Keeping the company in business is a big task for one person. Aspen Public Radio’s Alycin Bektesh spoke with Jeffreys about his strategy for overcoming a looming housing shortage.
