Mountain Collective adds new ski resorts

Telluride Ski Resort

Mountain Collective passholders can now add Telluride and Revelstoke to their ski vacation plans this year.

The additions now make the Mountain Collective pass valid at 14 different resorts, including Aspen Snowmass, resorts in Wyoming, California, Utah and formerly, Whistler Blackcomb. The Canadian resort was purchased earlier this week by Vail Resorts for more than a billion dollars.

Aspen Skiing Company's Christian Knapp says the Colorado ski industry is becoming increasingly difficult for independent resorts to survive in. The recent growth of two of the biggest groups. Vail Resorts and the Mountain Collective, supports that.

Telluride is a resort that Aspen residents can appreciate, Knapp said.

Mountain Collective passholders will still be able to use their passes at Whistler during the upcoming season.
