The first ever Wild West Fermentation Fest starts later this week in Glenwood Springs, featuring 30 beer and spirit and cider makers from the West.

Local participants include Carbondale Beer Works, the Aspen Brewing Company, Marble Distilling Company and Woody Creek Distillers.

The event is organized by Roaring Fork Events and the Glenwood Springs Arts Council. It begins at 5 p.m. on Friday, and at noon on Saturday and Sunday.

The event is just a few weeks after the first ever Snowmass Colorado Craft Beer Rendezvous.
