Red Brick art auction returns on a high note

The results are in from the Red Brick Center for the Art’s Valley Art Auction fundraiser.

Though the official numbers aren’t out yet, the fundraiser attracted what Red Brick Executive Director Angie Callen says was the biggest crowd for any event they’ve held. Ever.

She estimates around 300 people came to the event on Tuesday night in Aspen.

In a crowd of people, with a band and waiters carrying wine, almost all of the seventy-five pieces up for auction were sold. Most went for somewhere between 100 and 150 dollars.

It’s the first time since 2011 that the Valley Art Auction has been held. The event returned after public interest increased.
