Results reported for Pitkin County

Preliminary results are in from Pitkin County. Base 2 lodge failed by a large margin with 63 percent of voters opposed.

5,681 ballots were cast in the county, almost 40 percent of the registered voters eligible to vote this fall.

 

A slight majority of voters chose “community use” for the Aspen Armory, or City Hall. Just under 52 percent of voters chose that option.

Property taxes for the Aspen School District and for Aspen Valley Hospital won. 73 percent of voters were in favor of the hospital tax. 69 percent chose “yes” on the school tax.

 

A measure allowing the county to opt out of a state law that prevents them from getting involved in improving broadband access passed with 92 percent approval.
