Say Aloha to Aspen’s newest art gallery

The Christopher Egan Gallery

The Christopher Egan Gallery opened in Aspen this week. The new gallery’s owner is bringing the surf to town.

Christopher Egan is the gallery’s owner. He carries crystal sculptures from world-renowned glass artists, as well as bronze sculptures and, of course, aquatic-inspired pieces.

He said the new gallery will be a lot like his spaces in Hawaii, but with a mountain flair to it.

Egan also considers himself a landscape photographer. He said his Aspen space includes photographs that transport the viewer elsewhere.

“There's so much beauty out there," he said. "A lot of people just don't get to enjoy and get to see all over the place.”

The Christopher Egan Gallery celebrates its grand opening Friday at 4 p.m. on Galena Street near the Belly Up.
