Strawberry Days takes place this weekend

It may seem that all the buzz in the valley is coming from the Food and Wine Classic in Aspen, as well as the Heritage Fire and Grand Cochon events in Snowmass Village. But Glenwood Springs is hosting one of the longest running events in the area this weekend.

Strawberry Days has been going strong since its first celebration in 1898. The event includes a parade, lots of pie and live music.

The 119th year of the festival includes the continuation of the strawberry princess celebration. At the end of the festival, a scholarship is given out to the winner.

The festival will run through the end of the day Sunday.
