Author Luis Alberto Urrea has been called a “border writer” - penning novels and nonfiction works cataloging stories of immigration from Mexico to the United States.
Urrea recently held a series of talks to raise money for valley nonprofit English in Action, which pairs English speaking locals with those trying to pick up the language. Urrea sat down with Aspen Public Radio’s AlycinBektesh before an event at Explore Booksellers. Urrea said he very much identifies with the demographic English in Action works to support.
