NBC5 in Dallas/Fort Worth has reported on the IDs of those killed in yesterday’s single-engine plane crash in Texas. The flight originated from Aspen.
"Investigators have revealed the identities of three people killed when a single-engine airplane en route to Central Texas crashed in a remote area of West Texas.
A statement from the Cochran County Sheriff's Office identified the three as 61-year-old pilot Thomas Joseph Taylor of Abilene and his two passengers, 35-year-old Matthew Axtell of Basalt, Colorado, and 51-year-old David Bradley Patton of Carbondale, Colorado.
The Federal Aviation Administration says the single-engine Piper PA-46 aircraft dropped off air traffic radar shortly before 5 p.m. Wednesday while en route from Aspen, Colorado, to Brenham, Texas. Law enforcement officials found the wreckage near Morton, about 50 miles west of Lubbock.
The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating."
