On Tuesday, activists against energy development in the Thompson Divide met with the Forest Service at a potential drilling site. The Forest Serviceis reviewing an exploratory well proposal.

A short trail popular with mountain bikers is at thecenter of a court battle in Aspen. A newly formed non profit is trying to keep the Verena Mallory Trail open.

The problem of a lack of affordable housing in Aspen is nothing new...but, it’s not getting any better. Aspen City Council discussed solutions this week.

 

Downvalley, government officials continue to grapple with how to tackle a growing number of homeless sleeping in parks, panhandling and overwhelming the area’s support services.
