Week in the Arts: February 26, 2017

 

On Monday, SIRO A: A Techno Circus will perform at the Wheeler Opera House starting at 6:30 p.m.

 

Tuesday and Wednesday, the Banff Mountain Film Festival will make a two-day stop at the Wheeler. Screenings start at 7 p.m.

 

Also on Tuesday, singer-songwriter Miguel will perform at the Belly Up. That show starts at 9 p.m.

 

Wednesday, there will be a Colorado Mountain College Spring Valley portrayal of human rights activist Malcolm X. That starts at 4 p.m.

 

Also Wednesday Inon Barnatan will be performing at Harris Concert Hall. That starts at 6:30 p.m.

 

Thursday, electronic dance musician Flume will perform a DJ set at the Belly Up starting at 10 p.m.

 

Friday, there will be an Art in Unexpected Places workshop at Elk Camp with artist Sarah Cain starting at 6 p.m.

 

Also at 6 p.m. in Carbondale, there will be a screening of the Colorado ArtBeat Film Series in the R2 Gallery of the Launchpad.

 

Glenwood Springs High School’s production of “Crazy For You” will run Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. with a matinee at 2 p.m. in the Jeannie Miller Auditorium.

 

And Thunder River Theatre Company will present several productions Arthur Miller’s The Price Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m.
