Wheeler Opera House unveils winter schedule

  The Wheeler Opera House unveiled its full winter calendar last night at an event at the Limelight Hotel in Aspen.

In addition to the already announced Kevin Smith, who comes to town next month, the Wheeler Opera House added multiple movie, theater and music events.

 

There’s a decidedly musical them to the theater components of the schedule. The Fab Four: The Ultimate Tribute, Sandy Hackett’s Rat Pack Show and a Sing Along of Grease will be performing early next year.

 

Edwin McCain will bring his trio to the venue in February. The artist is best known for his song “I’ll Be”.

 

Los Lonely Boys will be coming to the venue in March.

 

The Wheeler will also be hosting a few family-oriented shows including Mike Super Magic & Illusion, The Jason Bishop Show and a Sing Along with The Muppet Movie.

 

This news comes a little more than a week after the announcement of the 2016 Laff Fest in February.

 

Performers include The Second City, a popular comedy theater group from Chicago, Gilbert Gottfried and Pete Holmes.

 

There will also be screenings of The Metropolitan Opera, films from AspenFilm and the Telluride Film Festival, and performances in conjunction with Theatre Aspen and the Belly Up.
