There’s a wine shortage… and it could get worse. So predicts a recent report by banking giant Morgan Stanley. The report blames bad weather and other factors for a looming shortage of fine wines. What is not clear is if the forecast is right. At least one financial writer calls the report a ploy to boost certain investments. Aspen Public Radio’s Elise Thatcher talks with Aspen sommelier Tim Baldwin, Assistant Food and Beverage Director at The Little Nell in Aspen. First, she asked him what his take is on the wine shortage.

Forest Fires on the Front Range.

The Black Forest fire is now the most destructive in Colorado history.  At record time, more than 360 homes had been destroyed.

Among the many tables inside the tents for FOOD & WINE at Wagner Park is one for the Francis Ford Coppola Winery.

Coppola, an Oscar winning filmmaker, has owned his own winery since 1975. Corey Beck is Director of Winemaking for the Francis Ford Coppola Winery. He talks about Coppola's approach to wine, food, film, the arts and more. Also, Beck gives recommendations for pairings with some of Coppola's well-known films including "The Godfather", "The Conversation", "Apocalypse Now" and "One from the Heart".
