It took a team of searchers three hours to find a man wanted in connection to a homicide case. Cole Pollard went missing Tuesday in northern Garfield County. Aspen Public Radio's Marci Krivonen reports.

Pollard is a person of interest in a homicide that happened Monday at a home near Steamboat Springs in Routt County. Authorities discovered the body of Patricia Richmond, 23,  who was tied up and lying face down.

A suspect arrested for first degree murder and domestic violence in an alleged homicide in Carbondale was taken to jail on Wednesday.

Arturo Navarrete-Portillo was released from a Grand Junction hospital and transported to the Garfield County Jail, where he’s being held without bond. The Carbondale man is charged in the death of his wife, Maria Carminda Portillo-Amaya, who was found with knife wounds in an apartment on February 16th.

   A Carbondale man confessed to killing his wife while he was being airlifted to a hospital in Grand Junction on Monday, according to law enforcement. The Carbondale Police Department issued a press release that says the man was driving a Toyota 4Runner that collided with a semi truck on Highway 133 on Monday morning. While in flight to St. Mary’s in Grand Junction, he “allegedly told the flight crew that he had killed his wife” in an apartment building in Carbondale. Police investigated and discovered a deceased woman with knife wounds.

Wednesday will see some degree of resolution for a murder case in Garfield County. A judge in Glenwood Springs will decide how to sentence a man who pleaded guilty to killing his stepdaughter’s boyfriend. 

The Pitkin County Sheriff's office arrested two people today in connection to the murder of Aspen native Nancy Pfister. Pfister's body was discovered last week inside her West Buttermilk home. Authorities arrested William F. Styler III, 65 and Nancy Christine Styler, 62. Both are formerly from Castle Rock, Colorado. They moved to the Aspen area in the fall of 2013, where they rented out Ms. Pfister's home at 1833 West Buttermilk Road.

The primary suspect in a fatal glenwood springs shooting turned himself in yesterday. Freddy Argueta Cabrera is currently in custody in Mesa County. Aspen Public Radio's Marci Krivonen reports.

The shooting happened Wednesday night near an apartment complex, south of Glenwood, just outside the city limits. Walt Stowe is a spokesman for the Garfield County Sheriff’s Office.
