A sitcom about the quirks of life in our community premieres tonight on GrassRoots TV.
“A$pen The Series” is the semi autobiographical story of producer Greg Simmons.
The concept for a national show about life in Aspen began in 2002. Simmons also launched a reality show about making the show which became its own web series.
A decade later, Simmons says he was financially underwater and it got so bad he had to sell his house.
“Literally my friends and family were begging me to stop.”
After a six year hiatus, the show will get it’s television debut on GrassRoots TV tonight. The first two episodes as well as a mini documentary are now a part of the channel’s program schedule.
