On Thursday the Aspen City Council begins a two-day retreat to hammer out goals for the next two years.
City staff will join the council at the Airport Operations Center where a moderator will lead the group through a series of evaluation sessions asking what accomplishments and let downs have occurred since the last retreat, two years ago. By Thursday afternoon, the hope is that 10 goals have been identified for the council to work toward accomplishing by 2019. The majority of Friday is spent determining how to carry out that progress. Citizens wishing to weigh in on the “Top Ten” list should email “publiccomment@cityofaspen.com” by 5 p.m. Wednesday.
