Last Wednesday, Lindze Letherman noticed the first letter “O” on the sign of the bar she manages - Hooch - was missing. She said this isn’t the first time letters from the sign have been stolen.

“A few months ago, we actually had a camera installed because people kept stealing the letters," she said.

Letherman called the Aspen Police Department. Together they reviewed the footage and spot the culprit. Numerous people identified the woman through posts to Hooch’s social media accounts.

Turns out, the thief brought the missing letter back to the bar and apologized. Letherman said people who right their wrongs don’t get enough credit.

They’ve dubbed her the "cool thief," and her identity will be revealed when she guest bartends as part of Hooch’s Startender Series this Thursday night.
