New project planned on Cemetery Lane

Libman Group

A new residential project is in the works on Cemetery Lane. If approved, it would be the first of its kind in that neighborhood.

Real estate marketing materials describe the development, which is comprised of four townhomes, as a, “First Brand Concierge Residence.”

The homes are listed at $10.25 million a pop, according to Douglas Elliman Real Estate’s website. It’s also being marketed as one property for $41.5 million. That includes condos 1 through 4, with 20 beds, 24 bathrooms and more than 25,000 square feet. It doesn’t include the cost of the land.

The property, where the two duplexes would sit, is being called “The Sanctuary.” Each home would be 6,300 square feet and have such amenities as a private aromatherapy spa, a salt room and an emotional shower, according to the website.

The city approved an application last year for a lot split on the property, located at 725 Cemetery Lane. Jessica Garrow, the city’s community development director, said her department red tagged the property April 12 because there was landscape work being done without a permit. That means the developer, the Libman Group, had to stop work. Eight days later, they posted on their  website that they had officially launched The Sanctuary project.

Project representatives declined comment,. They said they are very early in the stages of development.
