"PostSecret: The Show" coming to The Wheeler Opera House

Saturday, The Wheeler Opera House will host "PostSecret: The Show." The play navigates the personal stories people often keep to themselves.

When creator Frank Warren started PostSecret in 2004, he never imagined he’d receive over one million postcards from strangers, spilling their secrets anonymously.

“Secrets that are painful and hopeful. Secrets that can be sexual or silly. We really try and celebrate the human spirit through these stories and giving voice to them in a safe place.”

Since then, PostSecret has become a brand, with a blog, books and exhibits at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City and the Smithsonian Institute in Washington D.C.

Now, there’s "PostSecret: The Show." The experimental stage adaptation comes to the Wheeler Saturday at 7:30.

At intermission, audience members will be invited to write their own secrets on postcards. In the second act, some of those secrets will become part of the show.
