McCloskey Speaker Series - The Innovators: How a Group of Inventors, Hackers, Geniuses, and Geeks Created the Digital Revolution featuring Walter Isaacson

President and CEO of the Aspen Institute Walter Isaacson will speak about his forthcoming book, set to be released in October, 2014, by Simon & Schuster. Mr. Isaacson is the author of Steve Jobs; Einstein: His Life and Universe; Benjamin Franklin: An American Life; and Kissinger: A Biography, and the coauthor of The Wise Men: Six Friends and the World They Made.

In collaboration with the Aspen Strategy Group and The Brookings Institution, this discussion will feature former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, Administrator of the United States Agency for International Development Raj Shah, and other guests in a conversation moderated by Aspen Strategy Group Director Amb. Nicholas Burns.

Featuring US Air Force Chief of Staff, Gen. Mark A. Welsh III. As Chief, Gen. Welsh serves as the senior uniformed Air Force officer responsible for the organization, training, and equipping of 690,000 active-duty, Guard, Reserve, and civilian forces serving in the United States and overseas. As a member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the General and other service chiefs function as military advisers to the Secretary of Defense, National Security Council, and to the President.
